Terms of use, in plain language
The working agreement between Edvation and the schools, teachers, students and parents who use it — written to be read, not skimmed past.
What the service is
Edvation is a school platform: administration, attendance, assessments, analytics and communication for schools, plus Pulse AI — a suite of AI learning agents that teach from your school's own uploaded textbooks and cite the page they used. It is offered to schools, which in turn give access to their staff, students and parents.
Your school owns its data
Everything a school puts into the platform — student records, marks, uploaded textbooks, generated materials — remains the school's own. Uploaded textbooks stay private to the school that uploaded them: we never redistribute them, never share them with other schools, and never use them or any student data to train AI models. If a school leaves, its data is its own to take.
Acceptable use
Use your own account, and only for your school's educational work. Do not share credentials, attempt to access another school's or another user's data, or try to bypass the role-based access controls. Upload only content your school has the right to use — typically its own copies of textbooks it already owns. Schools remain responsible for what their users upload.
The AI agents are designed to guide learning — hints, feedback and page-cited explanations — not to complete work on a student's behalf. Attempting to repurpose them as answer engines or ghostwriters works against both the product design and these terms.
Demo accounts
Demo accounts exist so schools can evaluate the platform with realistic sample data. They are for evaluation only: don't put real student data into a demo account, and expect demo data to be reset without notice.
About the AI
AI answers are grounded in your school's uploaded textbooks and carry page citations, and when the material isn't in the book the AI is designed to say so rather than invent an answer. It is still AI: treat it as a study aid under teacher oversight, not an authority. Teachers and parents can review AI interactions through the platform's audit trail.
