Is student data safe?
Yes. Data travels encrypted in transit, access is gated by server-enforced role-based access control — students see their own work, teachers their classes, principals their school, parents their children — and a full audit trail records every AI interaction. All of it is hosted in India, in the AWS Mumbai region (ap-south-1).
Is it DPDP-aligned?
The platform is designed consent-first around India's DPDP Act: verifiable parental consent gates protect features involving children, microphone use requires explicit consent, and there is no behavioural tracking or advertising aimed at minors. Formal certification language is being finalised with counsel; the design principles above are already in production today.
Does the AI train on our data?
No — never. Student work, chat history, voice recordings and your school's uploaded textbooks are not used to train any AI model, ours or a vendor's. The AI reads your textbooks to answer questions in the moment; nothing your students produce becomes training material for anyone.
Where does AI content come from?
From your school's own uploaded textbooks, with page citations on answers so claims can be checked against the book. We bundle no publisher content, and uploads stay private to the school that made them — never redistributed. Rights holders with a takedown concern can write to info@edvation.ai.
Who are the subprocessors?
Five vendors, each with one job. No advertising networks, no analytics brokers, no data resellers.

The AI climbs a hint ladder instead of handing over solutions, and flags stuck students to their teacher.
Never ghostwrites
The Writing Coach comments on the student's own draft with anchored suggestions — it refuses to write it for them.
Parent-controlled
Parents hold the consent gates for children's AI and microphone features, and can review activity from their own dashboard.
